It brings me great joy when I receive letters and notes form my customers. I admit I am not a letter or note writer, and knowing this of myself, I value when others write notes and letters to me. Here is a letter I thought I would share with you. I routinely have to perform small jobs for busy people. Monica puts in succinctly in her note to me:
Your very welcome Monica! Thanks for the note.

It is important to decide who you are going to hire based on truth and not on lies, but can you tell whether or not that contractor is lying to you? We believe in telling the honest truth, even if that means losing the job.
The trouble with the truth:
The truth hurts. I'm sure you have heard that before, but think about it in terms of home remodeling and repair. A true statement like,"I'm sorry sir, but we cannot paint your home without first cleaning it", can ruin our chances of getting a job, but it is the truth. The homeowner may hear from another contractor willing to skip the step without telling the homeowner how much this will negatively effect the paint jobs longevity.
Many times I cannot honestly give an accurate bid because of the circumstances surrounding the work. If you take a look at our unforeseen photo gallery you will see just a few of the issues we have found after a job has started. Without tearing things apart you cannot see some of the things we routinely find behind the walls, in the pipes, or under you home. The final bid becomes difficult and downright impossible to accurately estimate because it would cost more to "find" everything before you start, than the job actually costs.
Why we tell the truth:
We believe in telling you the cold hard truth, we may lose some jobs for doing so, but we would rather have an informed customer that chooses someone else, than an misinformed customer that later finds out they were lied to. We are not here to do more work than anyone else, we are here to produce quality work at the correct price. We exist to serve you through repair, remodeling, and construction.
