Dear Reader,

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Gaby — general contractor, design enthusiast, and the founder of Guild Properties. I spend my days helping families reimagine their homes here in Arlington, VA (and sometimes chasing my chocolate poodle, Coco, out of the jobsite dust).

This blog is something I’ve been dreaming about for a while. Renovations are about so much more than tile and trim. They’re about people, families, and the stories we tell through the spaces we live in. Every project comes with its own mix of excitement, nerves, and surprises (because yes, there’s always a surprise behind the wall).

Through this space, I want to share:
